It has been reported that the Yankees and veteran free agent outfielder/designated hitter Raul Ibanez have reached an agreement for a one-year incentive latent deal worth between $1-4 Million.

Ibanez projects to be the primary DH against right-handers. Entering age 40, the lefty can still provide some pop for the lower-third of the lineup.

Once Ibanez is officially signed, the Yankees are expected to turn their attention to Eric Chavez to finalize another one-year-deal with him, likely in the $1 million price range.

In a statement released by the team, the Yankees expect Joba Chamberlain to be fully recovered from Tommy John surgery and activated sometime in June or July. His rehab has gone well and he is said to be on, or ahead of schedule.

Largely in part because I was a huge Yankees fan and the Bombers were amidst their late-1990's dynasty. But, unlike most of my peers and friends, my passion for sports has stuck with me and has only intensified. I never lost sight of my childhood obsession. Instead it has only developed further and has become an authentic passion. I have now graduated from college and have begun my pursuit of a career within the sports industry that will hopefully be filled with endless success and happiness.
