Last week the Giants proved they were capable of hanging with the best team in football. This week they’ll have to prove they can win when it counts. A loss this Sunday will squash any momentum from the Week 13 thriller against the Packers. A win will earn them a share of the division lead going into the final quarter of the season.
The Giants haven’t had much trouble in the passing game this season. Victor Cruz, the breakout star, is fourth in receiving yards, and the team has the fourth-best passing offense. Things should get even better when Mario Manningham returns from a knee injury. Manningham has three touchdowns in his four full games this season.
With Ahmad Bradshaw back to at least limited action, the Giants are at close to full strength offensively. Here is where we see how good they can be. Bradshaw has only rushed for over 100 yards once this year, and that was against the less-than-stellar Buffalo Bills. The Cowboys feature an above-average rush defense so success on the ground will be key for the Giants.
